Djs have had some major changes over the years with how they play music in the night clubs. In the olden days it was all about vinyl. The dj would pick the main records that they would play in the time that they have allocated to them at a night club. These records would be packed and ready to go in large silver hard carrier boxes that were specially made for twelve inch records.
